Redesign of the laundry and kitchen area in an 80-year-old home that underwent too many renos and is now being returned to her previous glory.

01 | Inspiration board
I start a client with an inspiration board, one where they can grab the ideas they love, and we then get to see the general feel of what they are hoping to achieve in their newly renovated space.
02 | MOODBOARD
After their inspiration board, we move onto the mood board of the space they are wanting to renovate, to go into more detail the kind of furniture, colours, flooring, cupboard handle designs, textures etc
03 | kitchen floorplan
Once the client has approved the mood board, we then move on to the layout for the kitchen. We do this to scale so that once the material board is signed off, its easier to start getting quotes on the chosen items as you already have the sizes and then get the quote ready as soon as possible.

With the floorplan decided, we can then move onto the elevations where in this case, you can suggest how the cupboards will be split up, whether the client required more draw space vs big pot space. With this client being an industrial designer, he opted for pull out shelving units (easier to clean behind and underneath, so they are not fixed, but it looks like a normal kitchen if you were just to walk in and see it.
